Assignments
AI statement
For Assignment 1 and 2 and the paper report, AI use is permitted, provided the following guidelines are followed.
- You must be able to explain any text in the assignment in your own words if asked. To ensure you can do this, I strongly recommend that you only include text that you have written (with editing from AI for Grammar if required).
- You must be able to explain any code that you submit line-by-line, and you must add comments detailing code sections written by AI.
- If generative AI is used, this use is acknowledged with a detailed statement of how it was used. E.g., "I drafted answers and asked Claude to critique them and rewrote them in response. Or, "I used chatGPT to create the first version of the python code used and then edited the code and added comments.
AI use is not permitted in the exam.
